Whether you're healing from a single incident or years of complex trauma, our work together honors your story without rushing it. I use EMDR, Brainspotting, parts work, and body-based strategies to help regulate your nervous system and reprocess stuck pain in a way that feels safe and sustainable.
This is a space to explore the intersections of who you are — race, gender, sexuality, cultural background, neurodivergence, and more — without code-switching or shrinking. Together, we unpack identity wounds and co-create a path toward radical self-trust, authenticity, and liberation.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in a cycle of overthinking or burnout, individual therapy offers space to slow down and be fully seen. We’ll explore patterns, strengthen coping, and build internal resources so you can move through life with more clarity and self-compassion.
Whether you're looking to rebuild trust, deepen emotional intimacy, or navigate a stuck conflict loop, relationship therapy helps both partners feel heard and supported. My approach is inclusive, collaborative, and trauma-informed — with tools rooted in real, lived experience, not rigid roles.
If you've ever wondered why you freeze, fawn, or spiral under emotional stress, we might be working with parts of you that didn’t get what they needed early on. Together, we’ll get curious about those protective patterns and gently tend to your younger selves who still need safety and validation.
For creatives, healers, and caretakers constantly pouring into others, this space helps you reclaim energy, set boundaries, and reconnect with your values. We’ll explore the pressure of over-performing in capitalism and create space for rest, worthiness, and sustainable ambition.
Feeling disconnected from meaning or navigating a spiritual shift? Whether you’re deconstructing beliefs or building rituals of your own, therapy can support you in processing grief, purpose, and identity in a way that honors your evolving self.
This isn’t about "fixing" your body — it’s about healing your relationship with it. We’ll explore internalized shame, diet culture, and visibility wounds using a body-neutral, affirming lens rooted in compassion and acceptance.
Sometimes you just need tools that work. We’ll personalize DBT, CBT, and grounding practices that help you manage emotional intensity, anxious spirals, and survival mode. You’ll walk away with strategies that are both practical and trauma-aware.
Come as you are — and keep becoming. This space is built for queer, trans, and nonbinary clients to explore identity, safety, family stress, gender euphoria, and full-spectrum healing. You don’t have to explain yourself here. I get it.
You’re holding a lot — and you don’t have to hold it alone. This offering is for parents navigating stress, reparenting wounds, co-parenting dynamics, or chosen family responsibilities. We’ll explore how to care for yourself while showing up for others.
For therapists seeking trauma-informed, identity-centered supervision or peer support, I offer space for reflection, growth, and real talk. Whether you're working toward licensure or expanding your practice, we'll approach the work collaboratively and with integrity.

I’m Vickey Simmons-Hart, a proud Arizona native, lifelong learner, and deeply curious human who believes in the power of healing through connection, culture, and science. Before becoming a licensed professional counselor (LPC), I spent years as an educator, adult learning specialist, and advocate — roles that shaped my approach to therapy as both a teacher and student of the human experience.
With advanced training in trauma modalities like EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic work, I bring a holistic, evidence-based lens to every session. But I’m not just a clinician — I’m also an entrepreneur, storyteller, and community-rooted woman who understands the complexities of holding space for others while trying to heal yourself.
Inclusive Mental Wellness is the result of both lived experience and clinical intention. It’s a space where Black women, LGBTQIA+ folks, and anyone carrying the weight of survival can lay it down — even for a moment — and be seen as whole.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master of Arts in Adult Education and Training. My background in adult learning shaped how I approach therapy — as a collaborative, empowering process that supports growth at your pace, in your voice. I’m a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a fully licensed LPC in the state of Arizona. I’ve completed advanced training in EMDR, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and I’m actively working toward full EMDRIA certification.
Before becoming a therapist, I served as an adjunct faculty member and adult learning specialist, which means I bring not just clinical expertise, but a deep respect for how people learn, unlearn, and rebuild. I also understand systems — and how oppressive ones can impact our bodies, minds, and relationships in ways that deserve more than a checklist diagnosis.
I believe therapy should feel like exhaling — not performing. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and radically affirming. I meet you where you are, whether you're managing chronic stress, exploring identity, recovering from trauma, or navigating the complexities of being a full human in a world that often demands fragments.
I use a blend of evidence-based practices (like EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT/DBT, and IFS-informed parts work), always customized to your needs. I also hold space for the emotional and spiritual layers of healing — the ancestral, the embodied, the nuanced stuff that doesn’t always show up in a textbook.
As a therapist, I show up as a real person: grounded, curious, occasionally funny, and always intentional. My job isn’t to “fix” you — it’s to walk with you as you reconnect to the parts of yourself that have always known how to survive, and now want to thrive.
I work with individuals and couples who are navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, burnout, trauma, identity shifts, and relationship stress. Many of my clients are high-functioning but tired — people who are used to showing up for everyone else and are finally ready to hold space for themselves.
I specialize in working with Black women, LGBTQIA+ folks, caregivers, neurodivergent professionals, healers, creatives, and those exploring nontraditional relationships or sexuality. If you’ve ever felt like you had to shrink, edit, or compartmentalize yourself in therapy before — this space is for your whole self. All of you is welcome here.
Outside of sessions, I’m probably sipping strong coffee, deep in a book, or building something that brings vision to life. I’m a creative at heart — a writer, a former educator, and a lifelong learner who finds joy in helping others reclaim their voice. I'm also an adoptive mom, a fierce advocate for mental health access, and someone who believes rest is resistance.
I’m not just a therapist — I’m a real person doing the work alongside you. And I built Inclusive Mental Wellness because I believe healing isn’t about becoming someone new — it’s about coming home to who you’ve always been.

The cost of therapy varies depending on your insurance coverage, length of session, and service type. I currently accept several insurance plans through platforms like Headway, Alma, and SonderMind — and I’ll do my best to help you navigate those options.
For clients paying out of pocket, I offer a limited number of cash-pay slots with transparent rates. Therapy is an investment in your healing, and I’m committed to helping you find a path that’s accessible and sustainable. If you’re unsure about coverage or cost, feel free to reach out — we can explore what works best for you.
Nope. You get to set the pace. The first session is about building safety and giving you space to share what feels most important right now — not spilling your whole life story. We’ll move at your speed, with no pressure and no judgment.
The best therapy happens when you feel safe, seen, and supported. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation — so we can talk about your goals, get a feel for each other, and make sure this space will serve you. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help you find someone who is.
Great question — and no pressure to come in with a list. A consultation is just a chance for us to feel out the vibe and see if working together feels like a good fit. You might ask about my approach to therapy, how I work with specific identities or concerns, what sessions are like, or how we’d begin. You’re welcome to show up curious, nervous, or unsure — I’ll meet you right where you are
That’s valid — and common. Finding the right fit matters. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and identity-affirming, which might feel different than what you've experienced before. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I’m here to make sure it works for you.
Yes — research supports that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person care, especially when it’s relational and grounded in evidence-based practice. You can show up from the comfort of your space, and we’ll still do deep, meaningful work together.
Each session is a mix of conversation, exploration, and evidence-based support. Some days we might process deep emotions or past experiences; other days we’ll focus on grounding tools, parts work, or just making sense of what’s coming up in real time. It's always collaborative, never scripted.
Absolutely. Many of my clients are brand new to therapy — you don’t need to have it all figured out. I’ll guide you through the process, explain what to expect, and we’ll build something together that feels supportive, not overwhelming.
Yes. Please do. This is a space where all parts of your identity are not just welcomed — they’re seen, affirmed, and centered. We’ll unpack how systems, culture, and lived experience shape your mental health, without you needing to explain or defend who you are.
