ADHD & Executive Function
ADHD-informed therapy from an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. Support for the follow-through, time and emotional load that come with an ADHD brain, without the lectures about trying harder.
What it can look like
You know exactly what needs to happen. Starting it is another story.
Now and not now, with very little in between. Deadlines sneak up even when you care.
Hours vanish into one thing while everything else piles up, followed by exhaustion.
A short reply or a small critique can land like a much bigger blow, and linger for days.
Bills, laundry, appointments and texts you meant to answer, all competing for the same limited bandwidth.
Late nights, perfectionism and anxiety doing the work that structure was never built to do for you.
How we work on it
As an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, I start with how your attention and motivation actually work, then build from there. We look at what gets you moving, what drains you and where the friction lives, and design systems with enough flexibility to survive a hard week. CBT and DBT skills are adapted so they fit an ADHD brain instead of fighting it.
ADHD also leaves an emotional imprint: years of missed expectations, criticism and quiet shame. Internal Family Systems helps us meet the parts that learned to overcompensate or shut down, and EMDR or Brainspotting can help with the memories that still sting.
At every intersection
For many Black and BIPOC folks, women and queer and trans people, ADHD was read as attitude, laziness or anxiety instead of a different kind of brain. Some learned to hold it together through sheer effort. Others were disciplined when they needed support. Whatever your story, we make room for the culture, family and expectations that shaped how ADHD shows up for you.
Often, yes. Medication can make focus more available, while therapy helps with the systems, emotions and relationships around it. Many people find the two work well together.
It happens, and it's part of what we can work on together. We'll find reminders and routines that make showing up easier, without shame.
Yes. I accept Arizona insurance through Headway and Alma, CHAMPVA in all six states, and reduced-fee care through Open Path Collective.
